Did anyone else by this yesterday and have you had much success setting it up. I'm just getting started but ir does look quite complicated.
Heres the first daft question - stand by..
Can I set it up with the dish in the conservatory? Will it pick up a signal through glass.
The rains just come on so can't have the dish outside at present.
Any other tips welcome

Just watching it at the moment.
Seems a good system for £50.
I don't know about working through glass, but it's waterproof, so it'll just be you that gets the rain.

is a good site for setting the dish up. Hover the mouse over the settings and it explains them.
Or easier, look at your neighbours sky dish.
Edit - you'll probably find the rain stops the signal, and if it's new glass, like Pilkingtom K it'll be poor as well.0 -
thanks mikey, rain's off now so suppose i should get started
What scale on the dish do you use for setting elevation?0 -

Still plenty of ross sd kits at B&Q , larger dish, I think,- only £25 , cheaper than the receiver on it's own !0

Yes, the Ross is good for a fixed dish installation, but you may need to spend another £20 on a meter and compass. It's a 65cm dish as well.
If you want the portable one, the Aldi kit has all the mounts, a smaller 35cm dish, the meter and compass come with it, and it runs off 12v.
And goes back into a carry case so it doesn't rattle around.0
