13 year old boy present?

Struggling with this one! He's an Arsenal fan but probably has ALL of that paraphernalia. Just become madly in love with the Beatles through an XBox game so would like something along those lines.

Anyone familiar with XBox who might know a similar game or even if there is a Beatles2 game for the rockband thing (you see how little I know about this stuff!).

Otherwise I'll just be getting him a CD of The Bealtes I suppose but wondered if there is anything more exciting out there.

There is a beatles guitar hero game for the xbox.. same thing as rockband.. there are loads out now.. queen, abba, metallica, aerosmith etc... loads which might improve his taste in music :p (I hate the Beatles!!)

Boys of this age are a nightmare to buy for Mine are 15 and 12 and impossible.. it is such a transitional age.

    Failing that cinema vouchers? money?

how about money and something small? that way he will be able to buy what he really wants, and you can still feel like you have put some thought into him. Money is always appreciated by teenagers.

I've got a 14 and 12 year old and they love getting cash. If there is nothing they want when they get it, they put it in the bank until there is something that they want to buy.

My middle one has cash from Christmas in the bank as he's saving up to buy a new bike.
Here I go again on my own....

How about something completely different, like a skateboard?
Something to get him outside :)

You can buy vouchers for x-box points which he can buy stuff through x-box live (although as an x-box widow I like Barneysmom's suggestion!) :)

If he really likes the Beatles and you want to get him something to celebrate him becoming a teen and also something he could keep, what about the Beatles 'Anthology' hardback book?

There could be nothing more exciting than a copy of Revolver. I would have been happy with that at any age. :)
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

    Thanks everyone!

I was thinking of "Revolver" too, possibly that and the xbox points - will look into those.

He's a very outdoorsy boy and has a skateboard already but is mostly out and about on his bike. Lives in a village so is always on the green and local park, not developing rickets in his bedroom. :D

It's just he's suddenly gone MENTAL on The Beatles due to this XBox game (must be the one you mentioned pigpen). So obviously want to encourage this before he develops a taste for Usher or someone equally bland (sorry Usher fans).

Toying with the idea of Magical Mystery Tour film but might wait till he's older and starts smelling a bit suspicious. :rotfl:
