Who's responsible for the pipes

Hi
Hope some-one can help, We have come across a leaking pipe in the wall of my father-in-laws flat. This pipe is not attached to any pipe work in my FIL flat so I'm assuming this pipe goes to the flat above. Does any-one know who would be responsible for this pipe. We cannot claim on the insurance as we are not covered. The flat is unoccupied as my FIL passed away last year.

I would get in touch with the management company if there is one, if not then I would assume the upstairs tenant is responsible and you should be covered under their insurance. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Are you sure the pipe is not an overflow from the CW tank or CH header.?C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten."l! ilyë yantë ranya nar vanwë"0
