ipod nano car connection kit

We have a Vauxhall Zafira (10 registration) and don`t know what we need by way of a connector in order to connect our ipod nano to the stereo system in the car. Is this a job for a proffessional and how much would it cost? Any help would be appreciated

Might be better putting this in the motoring section - most people here won't have a clue what sort of CD/radio is fitted to a 2010 Zafira.

Are there any inputs on the front - e.g. line-in or USB? If not, there may still be a line-in pair of connections at the back, but I'm just guessing...

Might depend on the trim level, but most Vauxhalls I've been in recently have an 'aux in' socket in the centre console (looks like a small headphone socket). If you have one of these, you just need a male to male 3.5mm lead to connect your ipod or other mp3 player, select 'aux' on the cd unit and away you go. You'll still need to use the ipod controls to change tracks though doing it this way.

The 3.5mm to 3.5mm doesn't work well on some ipods as they don't have switchable headphone/lineout- you are better with an ipod line out dock to 3.5mm jack.
