Dsr coaching

Yet again some one else asking for full DSR's.

Now that your item is on its way to you I would be very grateful if you could take a moment to consider the following information regarding eBay Detailed Seller Ratings...

Having recently been awarded eBay’s Top Rated Seller badge for immaculate customer service, it is vital that our company continues to receive high star feedback ratings.

If you feel that a particular area of our service does not warrant a star
rating of 3 or above, I urge you to contact our customer service team before leaving feedback. I can assure you that they will resolve whatever problem or query you may have.

You may not know, but ****** is a new, young company which I founded in 2008. Inevitably, at times we make mistakes. The most important thing is that we learn from these mistakes and put them right for future customers, in order to grow our company in the correct manner.

I would like to thank you for choosing to purchase from my company and urge you to contact a member of our customer service team by email or phone if you need any assistance.

I personally don't think that there is anything wrong in that one, they aren't saying like some, now leave us all 5*.
Just asking that if anything doesn't warrant a 3* or above to contact them to see if it's a problem they can resolve.

Whislt I wouldn't send such blurb to my own customers, I really don't think that's actually too bad. I've had sellers send me a message cursing eBay, and how eBay is the spawn of the devil for these 5 star rules, and how I as the customer should never play into their hands and do their dirty work for them...bla bla.

I also don't think this one is bad. It's polite and asking for help to get their customer service right. Don't forget sometimes the company can do everything right but Royal mail or other couriers cause problems outside their control. They just want to put treir side of the story to you before you mark them down.

Yeah, not asking for 5 stars but is asking for specific feedback rather than just a low score (should the buyer feel a low score is warranted). Seems very curteous and professional to me. I'd be impressed to receive something like that
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

That message seems absolutely fine- I think it would simply be spiteful to leave low DSRs because of that (if you had a genuine problem, that's another matter, but as they say it would make sense to contact them first)- when a company is young and relies on ebay for its business, it probably genuinely would make a big difference if they lost their top seller status

Terms and conditions do put people off though so a new seller may harm their business with such nonsense.

A few months ago I found an item to sell with really only one other UK competitor. I looked at their listing and was a little worried as they have quite a few unsold items, but they had an item description of 2 lines, and several long blocks , all with pretty edging and dancing patterns, of terms and conditions. All the usual ones were there including the fact that all buyers are scamming thieves so if you don't pay extra for insurance then tough luck. I was almost tempted to put on my auctions :

Terms and conditions - I don't have any

but I didn't and i can outsell them all the time without even trying.
