Address for Matlock Bank/London Personal Loans

I am looking to reclaim PPI for a loan with London Personal Loans (Matlock Bank) but the address I had of 1 Connaught Place seems to be occupied by the head office of a non-banking company these days.

From digging around it seems they changed their names a few times since (the loan is now paid off so I have no contact with them to know what they are called etc) and wondered if anyone knew an address to send the letter to ?

I was told at the time by the guy on the phone I wouldn't get the loan approved unless I bought the PPI so I am now going to claim it back!

Just a suggestion in case anyone else have been searching for the same as you, ring the general customer query at the FOS who may know the details.

Hi, my mum is about to claim PPI from the same company and had a letter returned from that address, did you have any luck on finding the current contact details?
Will also try FOS as di 3004 suggested. Any help much appreciated.

I decided to dust this off and give it another go....

I have just called the FoS and they say they still exist but are no longer regulated by the Financial Ombudsman (I guess the equivalent of being struck off!)

She had another address listed for them as well and wasn't sure why it related to them but gave it to me anyway.

Had a letter back from Lightfoots Solicitors on behalf of Matlock basically saying I hadn't taken the PPI with them, it was Ocean Finance who had sold it to me.

So, the form etc goes off again today, but this time to Ocean!

Just to let you know. Ocean Finance was acquired by Ocean Finance & Morgages Ltd on the 14th Jan 2005. I am getting the brush off from them. If loan was before that date seen PPI claim to R. Newey PO Box 15718 Sutton Coldfield B73 9TA. This guy was Ocean Finance then. Good luck
