Home owners waste theuir money on 10 gallon drums of magnolia paint and willow sticks in order to convince themselves that their house is worth £100k more than it is. Idiots.

    Lets consider a few of these idiots that bought a home;

    David Attenborough
    Patrick Moore

    Shirly Williams
    Tony Benn

Billy Bragg (£1.5m house in Dorset)
    Prof Robert Winston

    Rowan Atkinson
    Stephen Fry

    Yep, they're all total dopes.

i don't think they are geneer isn't very bright, he's arguments are at dervprof's level. debtistheft makes some good points that are actually quite intelligent..

The failing for me is the contention that his views apply to everyone at all times in all economic climates. I will readily accept that house buying isn't always the right thing to do, dependant on personal circumstance and on economic climate, but to suggest that it is wrong for everyone all the time is ridiculous.

Indeed, and not very intelligent ;)

his main point is that taking on debt or more debt is bad for everyone because in the end increases house prices because people borrow to their maximum.

if more people rented it would mean house prices would drop because there would be less demand to buy.

at least he applies logic, the other numpties haven't got a clue except for those heavy chips they carry on their shoulders...

I bought a house with land for £75 K in the early 90's and am now mortgage free through a bit of overpaying. I'm not on mega money salary wise but owning my home and having low out goings has given me security and confidence to make choices as to 'how I live my life' from now on.

Then you are obviously an 'idiot' but the good news is that it's not to late, what you should do is sell your property put all the equity into a savings account earning a pittance and move into a rented bedsit. If you are really lucky your landlord may allow you to have pets and/or hang pictures on the wall.

put all the equity into a savings account earning a pittance

Once again a housing bull slips up and actually strengthens my argument. By saying 'put your money into a savings account earning a pittance' you are just confirming what I have been saying. Home owners are so complacent from the decade of easy money that they haven't a clue how to actually MAKE money.

Chucknorris shows here that all he imagines, outside of investing in property, is putting money into a savings account. I dare say his pension money is stored in his equity or under his mattress.

Welcome to pensioner poverty, an asset rich and cash poor province of housing bull losers. Idiot.

The bears win again! I have lost count the number of posts that the best of this board have posted (myself, geneer, shortchanged and DervProf) that have put the bulls to the sword. Bears are winning at every turn! :rotfl:

    Sheer class!

Unfortunately, you have posted this before debtistheft had a chance to, and therefore we will have to put up with them having to do an even more loony post than this.

    Idiot!:D

EDIT I was right! They managed it before I even finished this!!!!!!!

LOL, another Bull post where he doesn't understand the implications of chucknothing's mockery. You guys just can't get away from the mindset that the only way to make money is to buy a pile of bricks.

    Investing...does...not...compute!

The A-Team of the Bears (me, geneer, DervProf and shortchanged) win again!!!! :D

    Idiots!
