should my mate escalate the paypal claim straight away

My mate bought 3 items from this seller just under 2 weeks ago but his items haven't turned up so he has tried contacted the seller but the seller hasn't replied, so he has opened 2 paypal disputes for the items but the seller still haven't replied. So i have sent the same seller 2 questions about items they are selling and i have had a reply both times, so should my mate escalate the claim straight away as it don't seam the seller is going to reply.

Give the seller at least a day or 2 to reply. That's only fair.

I'd escalate it straight away if they're replying to emails from you but not your mate!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Ebay/Paypal rules are that the matter should be escalated 10 days after you open the dispute.

There's info on the Paypal resolution centre but I'm not allowed to post links :(

I've always escalated my paypal claims straight away if I've already contacted the seller and got no reply.

I think that the buyer has been more than fair already.

    Not rules, simply their recommendation.
If you don't think that you will get anywhere with the other party, you can escalate as soon as you've opened a dispute.

That happened to me once. I got someone else to ask a question as seller had gone silent and they had a reply so they went back and asked why was they not replying to x about x matter? They suddenly found my message in their spam folder...... yeah right! but they did sort the problem out quickly after that.
