When you record a series link with this machine (a programme that's on every day) why does it just completely fail to record even though the programme still shows as due to be recorded on the recording schedule?
It will record the programme every day for a few weeks then just miss it out for several consecutive days.
What might I be doing wrong?

My box (Humax 9300T) does this from time to time, there has been a lot of updates in my area of late with some very weak signals so I think this could be a factor.
It was a real issue about 18months ago and was told it's because of where I live I was picking up signals from multiple transmitter. I used the below site and did a full factory reset and a manual turn from just one transmitter and that helped.
http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/postcodechecker/
(Just enter your Postcode and tick the installer box to get the manual channel numbers for your transmitter, they range from 21 to 69, then turn in the channels for each MUX).0 -
Thanks Chorlie. I'll have a look at that option in the morning.0

I'll try to explain how to do this a little better, because the first time you try it can be confusing (or I found it to be)....
Put in your address to http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/postcodechecker/ ticking the in the trade to get the frequencies for the different transmitters you receive.
Then do a 'default settings', stop auto scan and manually scan the 5/6 mux frequencies for one transmitter. Things should be OK after that.
You will now get a message saying No channels are available when you stop the auto scan……, press OK. You should now be taken to the Installation menu, choose Manual Search. Select the first UHF channel number obtained from the digitaluk web-site for Channel (actually the order doesn’t matter) and press Search. When the search completes, Save. Select the next UHF channel number for Channel and press Search.....Save. Repeat this for all six UHF channel numbers and to finish press the Exit button. You will now find all your Freeview channels on their correct numbers with none in the 800 range. Good luck.0 -
Undoubtedly you have the latest firmware (from exactly a year ago)?0
