Paying EDF

EDF have become unrealiable. We get electricity from them and pay what we use quarterly. For some time they would email to request a meter reading and then provide a bill for those readings, occasionally doing an reading themselves.
I knew we were overdue a billing so a few days ago, after failing to email or even estimate, they sent a 'bill' in for what is apparently one quarter of what a yearly bill would be. 'But we'd rather bill you on actual readings' it said. Eh. So why not ask. Oh they have in the letter, or if not pay what they 'estimated' by 22 May. I read the meter and posted them using 'My account' on EDF, which has also changed to get worse.
The new bill came in, which being for nearly 4 months was more than the 'estimate'. Now I see there is no longer an option for paying by internet/phone banking as I have done for a long time now and very convenient it was too. I called them. They have changed there account details and removed this option, so I could pay then or using 'My account' on EDF site. I asked them to note my complaint to reinstate the facility. The EDF site would not accept my debit card, even going through the card authorisation screen and suggested I try another card. I was not going to pay my credit card. So I paid by phoning using their automated speak to a machine method.
Progress eh!
