What to do? unpaid case closed, now the buyer wants to pay?

Surely I will have to re-list the item?

Be aware there's a chance this is just so they can avoid a strike, then you might end up with a neg and all sorts of issues for "daring" to open a case against them. Tbh I'd ignore and block them.
I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!
  • OK thank you. I had already blocked them. Do you suppose i should reply to the request or ignore it?

Ignore the buyer, make sure he stays blocked and move on.

This is not uncommon, they think they can just not bother to pay for anything as sellers can't leave a neg, they get a couple of strikes and then start whining that no one lets them bid. You've done all the sellers on ebay a favour, so thank you.

Chargeback. Is where a buyer claims through their card company for goods not received etc. Although it is only really practical to do on expensive items bought £100 plus.

Resell the item again for him to bid or try to do it off eBay if possible

What is the advantage of getting involved with someone who did not pay in the first instance and could cause all sort of problem? If they got a strike they may be disgruntled and wanting to cause trouble, like other people have said.

like terra says, why on earth risk dealing with a buyer who already potentially has a grudge against you ?
