Low Noise Bathroom Extractor Fan

Can anyone advise please? I need to purchase tomorrow a low level bathroom extractor fan, which hopefully will be economical to run also.
Also, is it best to have it operated on a pull cord, or wired in to the light? I'm a bit worried about having it wired into the light & then having no control over when it goes off.
If anyone can advise makes or suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

If it doesn't make much noise then it isn't removing much air !
Have it wired into the light and set to run for 20 mins afterwards.
There should be an isolator switch for it, turn that off when you go to bed then night time visits to the loo don't start the fan.0 -
depends upon the level of ventilation in the bathroom
if it's the only method of ventilation it needs to run for at least an hour after a bath or shower otherwise you will get a lot of condensation and mold0 -
Thanks folks. Comments taken on-board0

Just to update - I ordered an Airflow Quietair fan - decibels 25/airflow 20.8/25 L/sec. Cost ££48 + VAT. Looks tidy too. Well pleased, or hopefully will be once its installed.0
