cashback websites any advice please?

Hi i am new to the forum and really hoping someone can help me.

I am using one of those cashback websites and so far it has been great got the cashback and been paid my first one. so i thought ok there are some casino type cashbacks play through £20 and we will give you back £60 great i thought so i did a couple of them. anyway my cashback hasnt been tracking with these and i have contact them so many times its getting boring. i have now been told its my anti virus deleting their tracking cookies and that i will probably lose any cashback now. i feel like crying to be honest. i have been really foolish and a bit greedy i guess. i would never have played on those sites but i thought well i will get my money back so lets just have a bit fun. now looks like i'll be £120 out of pocket and my husband will now be £150 out of pocket. how could i of been so silly. it was too good to be true.

is there anything i can do about this? there is NOTHING on their website to say about tracking cookies and this type of thing happening. it just says play this much money and we will give you x amount back simple.

i feel so stressed. if anyone can help me i would be so grateful

thanks kirsty

Which site is it? I know Quidco is very clear about clearing cookies etc, and also the fact that cashback is not guaranteed.
    Gone ... or have I?

    Nothing about cookies?

Well in their knowledge base there are at least two items that mention cookies...

Well it appears that antivirus programme and firewalls can stop the cookies tracking. I would email the cashback site and ask them where it advises about tracking cookies and that our antivirus software could effect it. Once you have a Response contact consumer direct to find your posistion.

    Yes, that is right.

Those two links I mentioned above talk about anti virus, firewalls and adblockers too.

It might just be to do with the sites they are tracking to. For example if it had the word Trojan in the website you were tracking then I guess your firewall or antivirus would block it.

Bad example but I think you get the picture.
