Sounds fab! When do you move
Should be mid-July, so we've got about six weeks to get packed and organised. I've already started ruthlessly Freecycling things to make packing easier. Once we made the decision I actually cried with relief that we were moving away from next door - hadn't realised quite how badly I was affected by our aggressive, confrontational neighbours! We've also got the children in to the local nursery for September, which was the only thing that was worrying me about the move, so all is good with everyone! :j0 -
oh excellent news about the pre-school. Round here places are like gold dust! Really pleased for you and I hope the run up to the move goes smoothly with no more upsets from the neighbours!
xx

I've managed to sell our monster pram and made enough to cover most of the cost of hiring a moving van. It's being collected tomorrow evening, so hopefully they'll be happy with it (I just hope they've checked the size as you need a mid-size car to actually transport it).0

Grrrr, DH has just had to have the clutch replaced on his car, costing nearly £800!!! It's going to have to go on our last remaining credit card for now and then get paid off with either the windfall money or DH script marking money when it arrives in August.0

It's like life is saying " yeah, ok, I got you a nice new house to live in but you're going to have to pay for it" - we've got to cough up £250 for some repair work to our old house (which we're renting out). We can't afford to lose the tenants so things need fixing asap if they go wrong but on top of the repair bill for DHs car, we're over a thousand pounds out of pocket. :mad:0

rubbish I hope you are able to find the money for it all

Only three weeks and a few days until we move - very excited :j Still got quite a bit of packing to do and I must start contacting utility companies and book the moving van soon. At least it's not snowing this time!
We're spending the week at the in-laws dog/house-sitting while they're on holiday, so our gas and electricity bills should be a bit lower but our grocery budget is blown as they have no food in so I'm having to buy quite a lot of our usual things in small (and so more expensive) portions, just for one meal. It's also playing havoc with my diet as they do have a cupboard full of bad for you, snack-y type things which my will-power isn't strong enough to resist
More bad news with the car, apparently it needs another new alloy wheel as a second one is buckled , so that's another £80 to find. Good job we've got an emergency fund, as we've also had to pay nearly £90 for some drugs for the dog as she's developed a swollen face (possibly an infected tooth) - it's not worth trying claiming it back from the insurance as I have to pay almost that much as an excess, so I'd end up with about a fiver .0 -
Sorry to hear about all the spends
! Can you get the buckled wheel seen by someone and fixed rather than completely replaced? Ours has buckled a few times as there are pot holes all over a road right near us and we try to avoid them as much as possible but they've got us a few times! Anyway...dh took the buckled wheel to someone who sells part worn tyres and he fixed it for £40 (we'd been quoted something similar to you)
Have you started packing? I love moving(i'm a bit weird)
