That is a list especially with twins.
I have only managed the ironing and already willing for nap time with the kiddies zzzzzzzz!0 -
morning Iris, i'm also feeling a little more motivated today perhaps it is the thought of ds1 returning to school tomorrow and dd starting nursery (break time for me) that is spurring me on lol. I've put both my little ones in the garden with wellies and jumpers (cold here!) and let them dig the garden up whilst i attack upstairs today lol. Not sure how long they will last before bringing all the mud in with them though and creating more jobs for me lol! Good luck with your list mine is about as long as that today and hoping to get it all done
xx

I'm not a fan of ironing at all, so well done with getting that done. I've promised DH I'll get some of his work shirts done today - that'll go to the bottom of the list I think!debtfreewannabe321 wrote: »morning Iris, i'm also feeling a little more motivated today perhaps it is the thought of ds1 returning to school tomorrow and dd starting nursery (break time for me) that is spurring me on lol. Can't wait until the twins are old enough to get shunted outside to play unsupervised - not looking forward to the extra mud though, the dogs bring in enough!
Well nap time didn't last long - DD went off straight away but DS refused to sleep (even though he looks like he really needs it) and then tried everything in his power to wake up DD, which has now worked  Oh well, at least they're not crying...at the moment!
Finished the housework list and now on to the finances. Just about to check the banking - £25 should have gone in to the emergency savings, so I've adjusted my signature and if the £55 has arrived from PayPal, I'll send that over to the credit card and change my sig again.
Was speaking to DH last night, asking him how much money we have left and he asked "why am I in charge of all the money now? Why don't I just give it all to you and you can just give me some pocket money?" ... just what I've been waiting to hear! It's so frustrating having a completely empty account, not knowing how much "family" or "petrol" money is left until DH checks his account (I could look at his account but I avoid doing that unless he asks me as I feel a bit funny about poking around in his account, even though we've shared everything financial for the last 16 years!), so once the weekend spending has cleared anything left is being scooped up in to my account where I can keep a check on it!0 -

Credit card now at £384 and both have been locked away, never to be used again!0 -

My kids are (just turned last month) 2 & 3 so they are just about old enough to be locked in the garden so long as i can hear/see them out the window. It makes cleaning a little bit easier and quicker when you can get them out lol
I'm so glad your Dh is on board completely now with the finances :j:j must be such a relief! I got my dh on board when we first started down the dmp route but mainly as he was in afghan so someone (i.e ME) had to deal with it all and the creditors! So now the pay is put into my account and i take out around £65 a month to give him...£15 mobile top up. £40-50 (depending on how much we have) pocket money a month! It works so much easier than when it went into our joint account because he had a card i couldn't control how much was going in and out- he would just take a tenner out here and there even if not needed! so annoying. None of that now  lol! xxxMortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. Time for some New (school) Year resolutions...
FINANCIAL- Meal plan and keep track of grocery money - maybe join the Grocery Challenge?
- Don't 'borrow' from the petrol money - it never gets paid back
- Don't, whatever happens, use the credit card again!!!!
- Get back into surveys and get some vouchers for Christmas
- Start to take money out as cash and use the envelope system again to keep track of it
PERSONAL- Get out of the house at least once a day!
- Make an effort with my appearance even if I'm only going to the park with the children
- Try and lose a few of my spare pounds by Christmas
- Continue to refine my wardrobe - only wear clothes that fit properly and I feel comfortable in (and ditch the holey underwear )
- Read more, watch TV less and stop procrastinating in front of the computer
I'll aim to update these at the start of every month and maybe add a few more if I think of any.0 -
Finally finished listing my current batch of children's clothes on turbolister - I now have 62 items in my inventory! Out of that lot I've currently got 24 items up for sale - the rest are too wintery for the moment but they are now ready to go as soon as the season changes. Still have one final box of vests and sleepsuits - just have to get round to ironing then photographing them :-/0
