does anyone know of any good deals around for the playstation 3 at the moment, any help would be much appreciated

    Check your local Cash Converters/Game/Gamestation - if reports are true then trade ins of PS3's have increased dramatically since "the hack". Be warned though, at the minute the deals will not be as good as they tend to be closer to christmas, but the other thing to keep an eye on, the Wii is about to be cut in price, it's a long shot, but Sony prices may drop as a result! (although i doubt it, they already lose money for every machine sold)

    If you are buying a used PS3 get them to show you it has firmware 3.61 as Sony effectively bricked all the ones running dodgy firmware so there's a few about that cannot connect to PSN.
