I need to know if it's legal first.Think of happiness as a kind of mental gardening.0

I think we are getting into dodgy grounds really. All I wanted to do was collate vouchers seen on the net onto one printable document. Thats all. I am not sure this is a cunning plan

The durex coupon already has an altered barcode on it.Think of happiness as a kind of mental gardening.0

How can it have an altered barcode and not be fraud.0

I'm totally unqualified.... but logically this would only be illegal if the codes were not equal to the original/dates manipulated etc. If that were the case, you would be both altering the product manufacturer's intellectual property without permission and knowingly defrauding the retailer.
Compiling the word doc with 'one per household' voucher print outs is not illegal, only the act of using the vouchers on more than one occasion would be.
We as consumers have complete contracts of sale with the retailer. You are bidding to buy your week's shopping with both cash and *ahem* printer paper. If Tesco policy dictates that this is acceptable, then so be it. You never have a contract with the product manufacturer/voucher supplier.0 -
Fraud isn't the word - sounds more like 'forgery'!0

What exactly are you doing?
I presume you are using a graphics prog to alter coupon and a bar code creator to replace the barcode with a scanable barcode. It's been on this site before.
Have you got a scanner to ensure you have got the right barcode on the product. If you get the wrong one you are going to have to do a lot of explaining. You are not even sure that the code has not already been changed.
If you pay with a card they are going to know who you are.
By making the code clear the number being redeemed will go up and even Tescos will start to think what is happening. The end result will be that they will not accept the coupons.
Is it really worth the effort. If you are using the same coupons every week I suggest you have a solicitor on standby.0 -
I would definately not get into this territory.
Its all getting very very dodgy.0 -
