No offence but that's not really enough information mate...
Entirely depends on your usage, your tariff, etc.
How long is a piece of string?
Check your tariff - what is it, how much you paying per unit?
What is your daily usage like?Let us create a better world for the next generation.

Charged by the energy companies or by a landlord? If the energy companies check that the meter readings are accurate.0

I have a 1 bedroom flat and pay my bills by direct debit. Currently being charged
£36 per month for electric
£49 per month for gas
does this sound a lot to anyone else??
Am I being overcharged??
If you mean your paying direct debit to the energy supplier then without further information we can't really tell you. If you give us your accurate usage amounts we might be able to help you further...
If the payments are direct to the supplier then this isn't your usage at all, you could find you are in credit if you don't use that much, best bet would be to ring your supplier to check this and you could always ask to reduce the payments if you are.
Obviously it depends entirely on your usage but yes I would say for one person that seems a lot -in my house between 2 we pay direct debit of £20 elec, £30 gas but this is accurate to our usageMFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

If you're in all day/quite a lot it sounds pretty reasonable.
Bear in mind if it's a direct debit then the companies will charge more in the spring/ summer months to allow a credit for the winter months.
I've been on PPms the last 3 years and they work out about £1.50-2 a day for electric and £1 -4 a day (summer/winter) for gas.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0
