the end is finally in sight

whoo hoo!!!
todays the day we sign contracts involved in sale of our house and buying our new one.
its been a long time coming after many different people being blamed or not working fast enough. . . . turns out it was our solicitor on a go slow:mad:
anyway our house is being bought by a couple of ftbs who have already signed and handed over deposit i'm assuming to solicitor (i'm not well up on all of this my oh is dealing with all the official stuff), the house we are buying is chain free it's an old couples house who moved onto a bungalow so its just us holding it up!! and we are dealing with that today. everything else seems to be in correct order and we are down to complete next friday 27th . . . . is this realistic do you think? hoping it is and i kinda think it has to be because the couple buying our house av to be out of their rented accomodation by then

    perfectly realistic.

The time delay now will be their solicitor requesting the money from the mortgage company, they don't ask for it until contracts are signed, and they give themselves a week to obtain cleared funding generally.

Next Friday would be realistic I think.

    thank-you.
don't mean to sound silly (but as i said earlier my oh does all the serious stuff) but when you say their solicitor won't ask for money from mortgage company is that after all contracts are signed or just after they've signed cos they signed a few days ago whereas we sign today but with what you say we've still got a week to play with so your information sounds promising. thanks again:)
