  • Hello all, look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves is so true, however as you fill up your piggy banks or tins or whatever it does come to a point when you have to bag them up to take to the bank in order to credit your account.
It`s a bit of a chore to do this and so time consuming so i invested in a change sorting machine, you simply empty the contents into the hopper and it automatically sorts the coins for you, brilliant i can strongly advise getting one as its a real time saver.

  • I even love it when I find a penny on the street I can add to the collection...how sad is that!? LOL

:rotfl: A couple of years back I had a job where I went past 5 phone boxes on the way to work & always used to check them for change. Found about £15 over the course of about 6 months.

It used to make my day when I found something.

Ha ha Sunderland! I don't blame you! I remember going to a phone box to ring my (future) employers to set up and interview...put my hand in the change tray and pulled out about £1.50 in change!!! Can you imagine my delight? I felt gutted for the person before me admittedly but it was in a shopping centre so they were long gone...and I badly needed the money so I looked upon it as a gift from an angel...or something.

Anyway I had to post because I was out last night and a little worse for wear..but as I was walking along to the taxi rank (or should that be swaying) a shiny 5p caught my eye on the pavement. That was in my pocket quick smart and I yelled to my friend "I found some MONEY!!"

She looked at me like I was a loony when I told her it was 5p.....
