Hi.
Think I have asked this question nbefore but I've nevber had any luck getting it to work.
Can anyone link me to/provide me with simple step by step instructions of how to share files between my wireless laptop and PC.
I currently have my NTL/Virgin modem wired to a wireless router and the hardwired to the desktop PC via ethernet cable. The laptop has wireless controller built in.
Also, is there a way to share the printer that is hardwired into the desktop PC.
Thanks

Hi, both laptop and pc running Vista.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Simple.
Click on Start and in the search box type "network and sharing center" and click on it in the results. Now in Network and Sharing Center make sure all options are turned on except Media Sharing (as it does streaming, not files) and Password Protected Sharing if you don't want to have to use passwords on user accounts.
Go to Windows Explorer. Right click on the file, folder or drive you want to share and select "Share" then follow the prompts.
Same with the Printer except click on start and enter printers in the search box, select the printer, right click and select sharing. On the computer that doesn't have the printer, go to Printers, Add Printer then select add network printer. You'll probably not need the driver disc with both running the same OS - it'll just get the drivers off the computer connected to the printer.
***If it refuses to work with both computers in the same workgroup then add a user account on the desktop using the same username and password needed to log onto the laptop.0
