in IVA & DRO
We have been in our IVA with Payplan for 5 months now and its all going fine.
However, in the last 3 months work has been absolutely horrendous - imagine police in the building, being warned of "heavies" and being told to pee in a bucket and these are just the highlights.
Ive been desperately seeking alternative work and not even getting interviews even though in the past i have never had trouble getting work and have been working part time since i was 11!
I could go to the doctors as i have a pre existing health condition and get signed off as my health is deteriorating to serious levels but i dont really want time off sick on my record as i would imagine it will hinder future job applications.
I was told if i leave my job of my own accord within 6 weeks i can claim benefits, which isnt something i have ever done before and isnt something i specifically WANT to do but am feeling very desperate.
So basically i am wondering how being on jobseekers might affect my IVA especially if i left my current job of my own free will.
Things would be tighter than tight but we would survive on my husbands wage for a while whilst i looked for other work.
I do understand this might be viewed in a very negative way but please believe i am absolutely desperate and wouldnt even be considering this option if things werent more than unbearable.
Thank you in advance and please be delicate with me as im very fragile right now.

Hi chirpychick, I would firstly recommend you call your IVA case officer and update them on all of this, if you haven't already, they will be able to go through all of this with you and can do it accurately as they have all of your details.“Official Company Representative
