I have not yet filled out or been listed as a member of any UK household (I'm fairly sure) for the 2011 census because, believe it or not, I just so happened not to hear about it and am worried about being fined. I am fairly unsociable, read no newspapers and watch no television or radio and so missed any adverts and people catting about it. If anyone on here could give any useful advice I'd really appreciate it as I am young and inexperienced in these matters. But it is a bit complicated, let me explain...
On Census day (27th March) I was renting a room in a bedsit and I was certainly not the household owner/bill payer by any description. I do not know weather the bill payer mentioned me or not and he is now living in Thailand and seems to be uncontactable. I can imagine he may have just put me down as an "overnight visitor" even though I lived there for a year. Thats the kind of thing he'd do. I have evidence that I was living at this address on the 27th March in the form of bank statements but that is all.
Since then I have moved back in with my parents, at the address that it has always said that I live at on my PAYE payslips from work because my bosses have been lazy and not updated my address. Perhaps the Census authority might use this information to try and fine my parents for not listing me, even though I wasn't actually living there?
An obvious solution would be to follow the "I need my own questionaire" link on the official census website for people who want to do the questionaire interdependently from their housemates. Should I do this, having it sent to my current address but try and list my old address when I fill it in? Or is there really no point, as it is not my responsibly... I was not the household owner/bill payer where I had permanent residence on 27th March so I cannot get fined for me not being listed anyway? Any help or knowledge of how this kind of things works please!

I don't think you need to worry.
It is the responsibility of the 'householder' to fill in the form and it is not the responsibility of everyone in the country to ensure they have been included.
Remember that there is no requirement to list the names of people at each residence so how would they even know that you haven't been included.
You can relax and forget all about it.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
you can fill it online.
Then they have a recipt of you doing this.
There will be people who have sent it off, but got lost in the post, misfiled. 20 million forms and some will be lost, so they will have to give people chance for this.0 -
Sorry, but I really can't........................The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
