A Work too date and Redundancy!

We have been informed that the site i currently work at will be closing and some people have decided to move sites under TUPE, but the other site is not for me...

We have been given a "work too" date which is the 22nd july, now can I leave and still get my redundancy if they continue on after this date??

They have got a deal in place that you will get Payment in Lieu of notice so no notice will be given when the site closes...

As we have been given the 22nd as a work too date can I get my redundancy pay??

No sorry. Redundancy notice is extendable and they can extend it for quite some time. If you leave before that you are resigning and in most circumstances can kiss your redundancy goodbye. The one circumstance that is different is if (a) you obtain another job and (b) you are within the statutory (not contractual) notice period. In that case you can serve counter notice and leave earlier and still get your redundancy pay.
