Paris and train tickets - help!

Hi

We are going to Paris this weekend for 3 days travelling Sat and back Mon.

We fly into Charles De Gaulle Airport and need to get from there to our hotel that is near a metro line (Cambronne or Avenue Émile Zola).

We also want to be able to travel on the Metro system all day Sat to Mon.

Finally want to return to Charle De Gaulle airport on the Mon to fly home

Any help on what ticket would be best and exactly how you do this would be much appreciated

Thanks

You probably don't have enough time to buy passes before you go, unless you can get to either the Eurostar travel centre at St. Pancras or to Rail Europe at piccadilly.

What you want is a Paris Visite pass which can be purchased at CdG ticket office when you arrive, it will be for zones 1-6, it covers you for all SNCF, RER, Metro and busses in the Paris area, You purchase it for the number of days you need. Apart from the airport it covers you to Versilles and Disney, you will get a small brochure and map showing the limits. It doesn't seem cheap I think it is close to 50 euros for the weekend, but it is ever so convenient.

    Thanks for that

been reading up on this and it's suggested that a Billet Ile-de-France to Paris would be best for getting from airport to hotel as it's cheaper (8,40) than a Zone 1-6 Paris Visite pass (19,60)

The Billet Ile-de-France to Paris apparently can be used on the Metro but not sure if that means all day or just the one trip?

If just the one trip, then we would also need a Zone 1-3 Paris Visite pass (9,30), bringing the total to ($17.70)
