Laptop deals

Options
Hi there,

I am new to this forum. Basically my query is:

I am looking for a new robust laptop for work. I am a designer. I need it asap, but I only have half of my budget saved. The price range I am looking for is no more than £1000.

Can anyone recommend a good laptop deal? I have searched and searched for 0% interest deals for approx 6months, but they seem to be a thing of the past.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't fancy getting stung for the likes of a 24month finance plan with high interest charges.

Many thanks in advance.

  • Thanks Hammyman. They're super cool. I may save a little longer to get the one of those I have my eye on. haha
Closed. I need something with atleast a 17" screen for design and minimum 4GB RAM, fast processor etc... I can't find anything at £500 with the specs I need. If you have seen anything, if you could let me know, that would be great. Cheers.

  • Thanks very much. I've seen one at about £800 and with the codes etc, that'll drop it nearer to £700. :) I'll have a think and decide this eve as I guess I'll have to go for the finance 24 months, but what the hey... no biggie

What's wrong with a £500 one if you have the cash already?

which package has a 4GB ram requirement?

  • Nothings wrong with it, but for my work I need higher specs and there are none at that price for what I need. I have decided to go for 6GB RAM instead of 4GB which was the bare minimum, with the software I use. Thanks for your help.

If your asking for advice for a requirement for something then can I suggest your be a bit more specific about your requirements. For example, you didn't state in your original post that you want a 17" screen. There's no point in waiting for people to suggest things before you tell them what you want.
Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.
  • LucianH. I was merely asking for direction or if anyone knew laptop deals, non-specific... I got sorted and help from the comments above without the specifics. Thanks.
