credit card terminals.

have a question regarding credit card terminals.
I run a small business which has the use of credit card terminal which I use very rarely but still need to keep in the business when it is needed.
Regardless I still end up paying £40.00 a month just for the rental of the facility and for the streamline service.
Do you know of any business out there offering more competative deals for low usage?

We use thyron mpt500 gps terminal which is about £20 a month or £400 one off fee (ish) but that I quite expensive terminal as it has a sim card In it so some of that is line rental.
Also need a merchant account which we use is first data ( formaly bank of Scotland merchant services)
Worth giving thyron a call if you have a merchant account all ready, google thyron systems for there full range and there customer service ia great as wellHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. You need to really haggle with these people. Go back to your original company and see if they will re-negotiate. We now pay £10 per month per terminal as we have 3, but it's only £15 per month if you have one. We then pay 16p per debit card transaction and 1.6% for a credit card. This was much cheaper than we paid before, but a lot of it is to do with your turnover. We are with HSBC and I just told them we were going to move to another company, and before you know it, they were dropping their rates!0
