Plastering (skimming) quote

We have had a quote for our new house as follows and thought I would get views on it. We are getting a second quote tomorrow.

Skim a room roughly 17' x 11' - £320
Skim kitchen 10' x 8' and dining room 11' x 8' - £340
All three ceilings - £300

Is this about what you would expect? We are in the south.

Thanks :)

Im a plasterer and those prices seem about right, though no doubt people will tell you they had there`s done for less, if your not sure get another quote.

    I agree

I give people a rule to work too, ( not to follow exact but ) As long as its not a hUUUUUGE room, work on the process of £300-£350 per room, for plastering. Thats not including if all walls need boarding, or bonding etc.

Some will be more expensive, some less, some mental. Try and see if anyone you know has had plastering done and get a reccomendation. Thats how i get 75% of my work

    Thank you for your replies.

We got another quote and it was nearly £300 cheaper for the same thing! It certainly does pay to shop around :)
