Redundancy Meeting

Options
Hi All

Just looking for a bit of advice really.

Went maternity leave 16th Feb 2011, had baby 17th March 2011. Have been working for the council since March 2010. Last week I received the following letter:

"Dear DueMarch

Further to our departmental restructure I am writing to invite you to a meeting to consider your dismissal, on the grounds of compulsory redundancy.

The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the redeployment procedure, serve you notice on the grounds of compulsory redundancy and to explore any support measure we can offer you."

The meeting is tomorrow and I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect? Does it sound like theyre going to redeploy me at the end of my maternity leave? Or are they making me redundant? If theyre making me redundant they still have to pay me the rest of my maternity pay dont they?

I just want to go with as much info as possible in case they try to screw me over, it is the council after all.

TIA
