Infected Win 7 Dell Laptop

Options
I am trying to fix a work colleagues laptop. Keeps shutting down once trying to run anything. Tried to run Malwarebytes but shuts down. Ran in Safe Mode with networking, found loads of infections which I asked to fix. (see log) Re-booted into normal mode and ran Malwarebytes again and it sut down again. Tried to follow bleeping computer guide but it will not let me run RKill. Any help appreciated.

So you removed all from that log from safe mode, but still having trouble in normal mode? Did you try using the renamed versions of rkill?

Run Hitmanpro. Save hitmanpro to the desktop, then run it. If it doesn't run, then try holding LEFT CTRL as you open it.
    http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro

Try Avast rootkit scanner: http://public.avast.com/~gmerek/aswMBR.htm Use the guide to judge the results.
    Try Kaspersky rootkit scanner: http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/tdsskiller.exe

Do a hijackthis log. Save this file to the desktop: http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/hijackthis/beta/HijackThis.exe
then hold LEFT SHIFT, then RIGHT CLICK to run as admint. Do scan and save log, copy/paste the log from notepad. Don't fix anything.

Any file that doesn't run, try renaming it.

By the way, that Malwarebytes is badly out of date with the program version. Best thing to do is uninstall it, and reinstall with the new version:
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php
  • Trying to run Hitman Pro but keeps shutting down halfway through scan. Will try to run others mentioned. I tried to download all of the different RKill but no luck.
  • Just tried to run tdskiller but it shut me down. Can I run these in safe mode?

Should be fine in safe mode.

At worst and if it comes to it, just make a boot disk antivirus from a clean computer:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/41653210#Comment_41653210

Once cleaned from the outside, restore a clean registry with Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows's registry wizard to clear out scheduled tasks/autoruns:
    http://www.ubcd4win.com/downloads.htm

Also wouldn't hurt to do fixmbr using the OS appropriate recovery disk. Not all the MBR tools on other disks work properly with Vista/7.

That's not a full Hijackthis log, missing most of it maybe because of safe mode. See if you can do it in normal mode now.

Could you upload this file to virustotal.com? Or Jottis malware scanner http://virusscan.jotti.org/en
C:\Users\Tina\NPSAgent.exe (select 'reanalyse' if it says it's already been scanned, give me the URL to see the results please)

What did TDSSkiller, Avast Rootkit Scanner (aswMBR) and Hitmanpro find?

    All say found nothing
hitmanpro stated possible presence of TDL3 alias alureon rootkit and eventually scanned in normal mode as did tdskiller. Any issues were fixed and pleased to say all is running fine now.

When you say any issues were fixed, fixed how? Did Hitmanpro clean the TDL3? Did TDSSkiller find anything... what did aswMBR find?

NPSagent shouldn't be running from that folder AFAIK, and if there's a rootkit then you can't trust the results of virustotal.

See if you can post a full Hijackthis log, because nothing you are saying tells me that anything's been fixed.
