Natwest taking me to court!

about 4 years ago i had an account with the above bank. i went a few quid o/d but as i was training full time i couldnt keep up with the charges. eventually the debt had rocketed to about £1000 over drawn. they shut my account and are now threatening me with court action.

i cant see how going overdrawn a few quid and then charging me daily charges of £25-30 is fair........

should i let them take me to court? would i have to pay up all the money owed plus court charges and interest? or should i start the process of getting it wiped?

im not interested in trying to be cocky and claim the money back (as i never paid a penny for the charges). i just hate owing money and getting the demanding letters.

any advise would be great.

thanks.

Lew.
