Anyone been to/had Virgin Vie party?

Can anyone tell me what happens at a Virgin Vie Party, by that I mean specifically if I purchase anything. I have been invited to one in a couple of weeks and looked at their website and saw things are not particularly cheap. I don't really want to feel like I have to buy anything as I buy all my make up from a discounted website so paying Virgin Vie prices 'just because' is not something I want to do.

Do they ever show items on offer, maybe if something was on offer I could be tempted. Do you have to pay on the night for items you order or do you pay upon delivery.

Thanks

I've been to a couple. The goods are there for you to try. It is expensive but the makeup is worth it (imho).

You pay for goods on the night and the host distributes the goods once the order has been delivered (usually within a week or 2 of the party)

    They have offers as well.

You won't feel obliged to buy anything, I certainly didn't.

I would pretend to be ill or you'll end up buying overpriced carp just for the sake of it xx

Hi, I've been to a few/held a couple and the lady who did them was lovely. There was no pressure to buy - a couple of friends who came to one at my house didn't order because either there was nothing they wanted or they were skint! There will be products passed round for you to try/smell/look at etc and in each catalogue there are usually quite a few offers, usually something along the lines of buy x and y and get z free, or buy x and y and save £z. They usually have some £25 offers too where they have a make-up bundle where you can save, say £20 on buy individually. I use there one step face base which is great, and by taking advantage of a £25 offer I now use their eyeshadows, eye liner and lip gloss lol. You would need to pay on the night, they do accept cards too.

Don't feel like you have to buy anything 'just because'. I remember going to a Pampered Chef party once and the stuff was mega expensive (in my eyes) and me and the girl I was sat with didn't order anything, in fact even though there were at least 10 guests only about 4 ordered but I didn't feel bad as I just couldn't afford it at the time!

Go along, have fun, but don't feel you have to buy anything (or be coerced into hosting the next party lol).

My sistr's been to a few and has bought me some drop-dead gorgeous pieces of jewellery as Christmas presents.

The packaging is lovely too, I've kept the boxes.
