 maybe its just my week for a run of bad ebayers!. last night i went too pick up a trailer tent as i drove past the front of the house immeadiately you could see it wasnt as described ; the main body cover was alive with mold as was the front storeage box cover!. . turned round at the end of the road and pulled up too view ; the guy came out of the house like a flash when we pulled up and promptly offered too hook up the trailer without letting me look at it 1st."Hang on i said just let me take a look thanx . at the back the trailer tent under the trigano badge the chassis was so rotten that i stuck my fingers straight through it ! on top of the storeage cover was a big puddle of water just sitting there ; at this point my wife walked off and got in the car ; i asked the guy too take off the cover too look inside ; "why mate do you think theres something wrong with it ? i havent got the room too put it up you know" ( cheeky plonker ddeee ummm bu**er me its mankey moldy on the outside theres plenty of room too pu it up...what do you think ?) reluctantly he too the cover off . its the sort of trailer that packs by folding the left side in 1st then the right ; on a quick look and i mean quick i was horrified ;on top was one of the bed boards wet through ... and cracked when i pushed at it the canvass too the sides was moldy a good even 2-3mm all the way down its side and the smell was a cross between the inside of my wellingtons when ive left them outside and a damp muddy dog; the sort of smell that you can y

If it ain't right, don't buy it. Disappointing, but it sounds like you would have just wasted your money.0

I congratulate you OP you checked the item before you were willing to part with any money. Threads appear on here frequently with buyers not spending 2 minutes to check an item before pick up then complaining because it wasn't as described. It's nice to see someone with some common sense.
You did the sensible thing and there will be other trailer tents some in a good condition.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Well done on you for resisting being forced into taking the item but keep an eye on the seller incase he tries anything like a non paying bidder route to get his fees back.0

A big disapointment but at least you've still got your money. If you'd paid by Paypal it would have taken a while to get it back.0 -
Good for not paying.
I've always said my money stays in my pocket, if it's not as advertised I'll walk away, in spite of all the "you bid to buy, not to kick the tyres"
The only problem is how to miss getting a NPB stike, and the seller claiming their fees back.0 -
Make sure you leave a neg, so when he relists hopefully prospective bidders won't be suckered in.:j30/7/10:j
