Hi all
i'm here again knocking on your doors for guidance!!!!!!1
as the title suggests looking for bargain priced wallpaper in birmingham/Black country (smethwick, west bromwich etc) areas.
Doing house on a budget dont want to go over £8 a roll, but still have something which does not look 10 years old as once hung it will probably stay on for another 10:DMore likely looking for under £5 a roll, but its soooooooooooooo hard.the ones that are that price are just plain!!!!!!!!!Is that a tall order or is it possible?
so please, suggest those that are hidden away in nooks and crannies!!!!!!steer clear of wilko, wickes, homebase!!!!!!!
Cheers

I know of a shop in Blackpool. And I live near you. The rolls are cheap but it's hard to find anything that doesn't already look of it's time. July will see summer sales and places like B&Q will sell off last seasons rolls that they are discontinuing for very little. I'd hang around the DIY shops once a week - perhaps focus will be selling off if they are liquidating their assets? I've found the more time you spend in even the expensive shops, the more likely you are to find a bargain there.
My own philosophy with wallpaper is to fall in love. I do feature walls so I don't usually end up buying more than two rolls so I don't mind spending more. Considering you have to look at it on your walls every single day for quite a while, it's not a bad thing if it costs more than a dress or a new pair of shoes.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Whilst I know the area well I no longer live there.
Just make sure you buy enough, all with the same colour code.
The first time we did our bedroom, in our first house, we went for some reduced paper.
Brought more than enough rolls but they had two codes.
Got away with it almost making sure each wall used the same.
Another on we did, you pasted the wall, but in the end we practically had to use PVA glue to get from curling.
I can laugh now but at the time."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

There used to be a wallpaper warehouse in Wallsall.

do you need to buy from a shop? It might be worth finding one you like in a shop and then finding it cheaper online once you have the brand and code. I put leopard print paper up on a feature wall and paid £10 a roll online but it sells for £20+ in the shops.
some of the places I looked are:
