  • Anyone who's friends with me on facebook instantly knows which one is me in a photo - I'm the one with their back turned to the camera, or the one who is hiding behind someone, or has her hands over her face. I've been told it will not be acceptable to hide behind my flowers! :p

I am a VERY shy person and I go blotchy when I'm nervous. I am also prone to panic attacks. That's why for the main part I'm surrounding myself with people who know how shy I am and will 'rescue' me if I look a little lost. Thankfully I know that all eyes will not be on me as I walk down the aisle with my dad :o
Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP
(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)

I hate being the centre of attention, I even asked OH if I could wait at the altar and he could walk down the aisle :D he said no

Anyway, not for confidence reasons but for weight loss, I am using the Paul McKenna I can make you thin book, CD and Iphone ap. It is absolutely brilliant and a side effect that I hadn't expected but that is a fab surprise is that my confidence and self esteem is much improved!! I have even started talking in meetings at work - I never did before!!

I believe that Paul McKenna has an instant confidence book/CD too, could be worth a go? I never ever believed in all this hypnosis/CBT mumbo Jumbo but it was an off the cuff purchase - absolutely love it, I have lost 5 lbs in 6 days so the hypnosis/CBT mumbo jumbo must work!!:j

Plus whenever I got nervous I just kissed H2B. There are a lot of pics of us kissing...

someone on here (apologies rubbish with names) emailed me through some confidence tips from a session at the national wedding show which were a great help.
Is it possible to pass those tips onto me please - i think i need some help

to the poster that mentioned confidence tips, i for one would really appreciate those! hopefully will be much better than the advice i've had so far e.g. 'just get quite drunk beforehand' lol x

I am rather shy but come my wedding day i was to busy to worry. I was to happy to worry at the church the day went at such a pace i really did not care it was lovely.

When your so happy shyness really does fade into the background.

we're both like the same - hate having our photo taken, being centre of attention etc, so we've slipped a small garden ceremony into our family holiday to orlando later this year - only told the 6 adults that are coming with us, not the kids as they'd let the cat out of the bag to everyone else at home! we've already been together for 15 years anyway, so we don't want any presents or the hassle of a big reception when we come home, just a nice sunny day and a nice meal afterwards.

As a wedding photographer i'm at my happiest when a bride just enjoys herself and shows her happiness. Any amount of forced smiles or posed shots just don't compare to real happiness with photos taken from a reasonable distance by a sympathetic photographer
