*holds her hand up*
This is why we're having a registry office with immediate family only (and even then we've arranged for it on a day that makes it hard for them to attend). After the ceremony we'll have a BBQ at our house for those who can come. Then at the weekend we're having a party to celebrate with everyone else.
We're not having a photographer, any formal sit down meals, any speeches, any first dance, any 'cutting the cake'. Pretty much anything that would require being the centre of attention is being banned/removed. The only real 'traditional' thing I'm doing is being walked down the aisle - but that is only so I don't have to do it on my own (not as a gesture of being given away). If I had my way I'd run down the aisle, say I do, and sign the register then go and party!
...
All that being said though - I am looking forward to dressing up in a pretty dress and looking amazing0 -
I have been panicking about this ever since H2B proposed. People are going to look at me! I'm going to have to talk in front of people. People are going to want to take photos and videos of me.
Oh my stars, I've broken out in a cold sweat.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Heh heh I don't mind people taking photos of me as long as I don't know about it - ooer!0

I'd recommend using a photographer with a photo journalistic approach who just captures the day for you and doesn't expect you to pose or take time from your precious day.0

I'm absolutely dreading having my photo taken all day. I hate my face :-(0

I am terrified too! I have always hated having my picture/video taken and hate being the centre of attention. I am most terrified of walking into the church, and our first dance![STRIKE]Getting married to[/STRIKE] Married my soul mate on

reportage photography worked for me! Its amazing, they have pictures of me I didnt even know they had taken and they are fabulous.
Plus whenever I got nervous I just kissed H2B. There are a lot of pics of us kissing...
someone on here (apologies rubbish with names) emailed me through some confidence tips from a session at the national wedding show which were a great help.0 -
Me too - that's why we are having a registry office wedding with us, parents, brother & daughter (9 people) as I hate being centre of attention! I'm already scared that I will forget my vows as I'm rubbish at that sort of thing and hate public speaking! I will definately be the blushing bride
I didn't even want to do the first dance - but my mum keeps on that its 'traditional' no its embarrasing esp as OH can't dance!!0 -
Oh and I've just seen that 2 of you are getting married the same day as me 18th June!! not long now!0
