I have had a Pipex small business account for a long time. One of its early benefits was netmail - which enabled you to look at your emails remotely on line.
As I travel a lot this enabled me to view my emails while away and download them when I got back into the office. Pipex did not impose a quota but it blocked individual messages with attachments over 20mb and did not keep emails beyond 120 days old. This suited me fine. Sometimes I am in places even now where email access is not easy and they can build up for up to a week.
Since I had my first Pipex Solo account, the business has changed hands several times and is now owned by Talktalk. Since it was bought by Talktalk, it is common to get all incoming email blocked. It seems to happen when I reach around 500 short messages in my mail box (no attachments).
This may seem a lot but when I am away for a week, this equates to around 80 messages a day of which around half are unsolicited spam which Talktalk seems unable or unwilling to block.
I have looked at the TalkTalk boards and there are increasing numbers of complaints from small business customers about their maiboxes being blocked. The standard TT response is that their quota was in their welcome letter. Many users say even this quota is now routinely ignored. But I never joined TT in the first place, I got drawn in by a takeover so I have no idea what my quota is, nor it seems do many others, and asking TT has been a waste of time.
Any TT users here who do have a "welcome" letter care to reveal what thequota is and how many emails this represents?.
