How much were you receiving, and how much are you receiving now?

I am guessing those amounts are not exact? There are several elements that would equate to around that amount. Call back and ask which element/ premium has been removed.

    Xmas Saver!
It sounds like the £191 figure, would be based on being assessed and in employment or poorly group (can't think of the proper names), and the £131 you describe sounds like the basic assessment rate.
From my understanding, you start on the assesment rate, and once medical etc, if you score the required elemenst your go up to one of the groups, both pay the higher sum, if unsuccessful then I think its job seekers allowance, but there the fact that you can appeal. (I don't know much about that)

Would def ring them and ask it to be put in writing why your rate dropped and which group u are presently in.

    Not entirely correct ...

It could be one of the main group rates, or it could be the Carers premium. It seems the poster has been receiving this amount from the beginning, which would point to it being an error or Carers.

If you are unsuccessful in the WCA you can continue to receive the assessment rate during your appeal. However the posters states that he has 'been told this will be ongoing as it stands', which makes me assume he has passed the WCA.

He really needs to post more exact figures and/ or call the JCP again.

First off thanks for the help in this matter as I am completly blind and as I see it (pun not intended) the DWP seems to make things more convoluted on purpose to confound some of us.I think my best course of action here is to get back on the phone and see what I can pry out of them in way of information.

Once again any and all information is greatly appreciated, and I am sorry to say this is driving me up the wall with all its ins and outs. What is WCA?

Work Capability Assessment, where you fill in a form, sometimes attend a medical?

What are the exact amounts that you have been receiving, and do you receive DLA also?
