Evening all,
I was just wondering if anyone could maybe shed some light on my problem listed below.
My partner recently got the dreaded internet explorer virus. It seems like it’s a new one, considering there’s not very much online about how to remove it.
I’m not very “techie” So I will explain as much as I can.
He got the virus about a month ago from you tube.
This was hidden the whole time, Not once was there any fake alerts or anything.
It was only until he closed the web pages down, Did a small box appear saying that “ ANTIMALWARE DOCTOR” has found 2 Trojan horse’s.
Thinking it was malware that found them, He clicked on the remove button.
From then one, He had pop up’s continuously. This virus was attached to internet explorer, It was also shutting his securities settings off, Malware, AVG & windows. Its also stopped his system restore.
So far, We have been updating his malware (After fighting to get it back to working*)
Its found a few:-
Trojan. Dropper (Internet says its very common) X13 of them
Trojan.Downloader (Again says its very common) X10 of them
Hijack.Zones (Common, But no info on how to remove) X4 In registry key.
We have removed internet explorer - But its still showing on the computer process. Every time we try using the internet and you type what you want:-
EX: “Facebook” You get sent to any old website - Some very rude, Which is giving more Trojans & key loggers.
I update & run malware 4 times daily & its no longer finding anything.
AVG Is finding the smallest of issues (Cookies ect.)
Any advice on what to do!? Its getting beyond a joke.
Thanks all x:money:

Thanks for the advice, I have tried the above, But there is still something clearly on my OH computer.
The above software has removed the trojans & antimalware doctor but He is still having issues with the website's changing from what he's asked for. Plus he's computer is running at a snails pace!Future goals:

Antimalware doctor is fake, and by clicking 'remove' probably installed it.
You need to say exactly what steps you've taken, and what the outcome was (e.g. in the form of logs). When you say "run malware 4 times daily" I really don't know what you mean. Malware is short for 'malicious software'... so hopefully you aren't doing that QID. Are you running the fake AntiMalware Doctor, or do you mean the legitimate Malwarebyte's AntiMalware?
Save Hijackthis to your desktop:
http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/hijackthis/beta/HijackThis.exe
Then hold down LEFT SHIFT and RIGHT CLICK on it, then select Run as Administrator to run it. Do a Scan and Save log, then copy paste the log here. Don't 'fix' anything.0
