Make sure you only use paypal, if the seller doesn't take it then don't buy.

  • I've been trading on eBid since 2008 (under a different id) and eBid is just as safe as its competitor. eBid is 13 years old and remember that when ebay started everyone was unsure of them to. :)

Do not be afraid of eBid. :)

Wasn't that about 13 years ago too?

We tend not to hear many problems from buyers on Ebid but that's mainly because they don't sell much. I would be slightly worried that they have a reputation for having sellers that have been booted off Ebay.

As Soolin says if they take Paypal then that should cover you.

eBid is fine if you use Paypal. I would echo Soo and say if the seller doesn't want to take it don't buy, as there is no buyer protection with any other method of payment and therefore no guarantee that the item will arrive or you will be able to get your money back in the event of a problem.

Even their PPPay service has no buyer protection, leaving the user dependent on legal methods such as small claims if the seller does not deliver.
