Postal addresses of banks

Hello,
I'm looking to close some unused bank accounts I have with HSBC and Halifax, and also a credit card account with Nationwide. The balance on all these accounts is zero, so there's no problem there.
I was intending to close these accounts by writing a letter to them, but for the life of me I can't find a postal address for these guys.
Does anyone know the account closures postal address (or failing that, a general customer service address)?
I'd rather not have to ring up, wait for cancellation forms through the post, post them back, etc, etc if I can just find an address that I can send a letter to.
Thanks in advance!

I had no joy with HSBC... I'll use a branch address then.
Thank you!0
