A Level Exam Results - School Specific?

I was wondering if someone, maybe in the education sector, could help me in finding some school specific A Level exam results.
In an A level exam 50% of the class only achieved U’s and E’s, the highest was an C, a pretty appalling picture. The school is a good school and normally obtains good results, but there is a problem with this specific subject and teacher. I have raised the issue with the school who is dismissive that there is a problem.
Can anyone help me in finding some school specific exam results? The exam board is AQA. I have been to there website, but am unable to find school specific, only National results.
Thanks

Do they not publish the school results in the local newspaper?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Hi
They would not want to publish these results. Also when mixed in with all the other exam results the overall would be fine.0 -
OFSTED report?0

This is a very specific issue that occured in Feb of this year, and there have been no OFSTED reports in that time.0

Could you ask the school?
Do you know another parent with a child of the right age to be thinking about starting A-levels? Could you get them to ask?
It sounds like you already know the results, though.
Have you spoken to the head teacher?
Have you taken the complaint to the governors?0 -
I have complained to the Head and Board of Govenors. No luck.
I do not have that official piece of paper that gives me the cast iron proof, that's what I need. All my evidence so far is just hearsay! I need to be able to prove my case.0 -
Bearing in mind that the teacher can only be blamed for so much - they can teach stuff but ultimately the onus is on the PUPIL to ensure they understand & take it on board, it could also be that this if it's a class specific feature could mean there's a problem within the classroom as opposed to with the teacher. Other thing is that it could have been an unusually difficult paper - that has been known to happen.
If everything you have is on hearsay then well, you have nothing.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -

I accept your point regarding the teacher. There was one disruptive child in the class and that was a contributing factor, but these are students in their final year, a bright bunch. However, when I compare with the National Stats for the same exam paper/results, this is what you see:
National - A*= 2.8% A= 21.6% B= 65.2% C= 89% D= 96.6% E= 100% U= 100%
School - A*= 0% A= 0% B= 0% C= 8% D=? E=? U=?
So it cant be that the paper was difficult as the National stats would have reflected this.
I agree i have nothing unless I find the evidence.0 -
I'm a teacher and the only time we release a breakdown of examination grades per subject (both GCSE and A Level) is in the annual governors' report to parents.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

How well one class (of 20-30 individuals) does in an exam is not statistically significant. They could all mess it up for no obvious reason. Alternatively they could all mess it up for an obvious reason that is nothing to do with the teacher. For example in my year at school there was appalling results for one exam due to a girl getting hit by a car on the way to school that morning leading to everyone being distressed (she was fine after a trip to hospital).
Is this your child's class? Can you check there isn't anything else going on? Is there a chance for them to resit it?"Every single person has at least one secret that would break your heart. If we could just remember this, I think there would be a lot more compassion and tolerance in the world."— Frank Warren0
