Hi All
Is there anywhere i can download a trial version of Excel 2003, i have office 2007 on my laptop and as part of a course i am doing there is a assessment on excel, I’ve just found out that the assessment will be on 2003 rather than 2007, i just want it to familiarise myself with where things are cause 2007 is quite different.
Ive found the 2010 download but not 2003
Thanks

Haven't used it, but there's a free utility called UBitMenu, which puts the old menu style back into Office 2007/2010.
There is an awful lot of difference in the menus, but if the assessment is more on the being able to get the results and not how you get them, then you should be OK with Office 2007.
If the tuition is based on the older version though, it could be worth going back to the old style system. Drove me crazy when I upgraded, so many commands I just knew through experience no longer worked!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. why is the course based on out of date software?0

have you asked them if they can give you a copy as you already have 2007 version and it is not financially viable for you to be expected to buy an older version because they are not up to date.0

why is the course based on out of date software?
My company, a multinational IT company has no plans to upgrade from XP & Office 2003 until tech refresh next year. 2003 suits our needs and 2007/10 doesn't give anything extra that is vital for the businessThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. still out of date by 8 years, but doesn't help op who has already got updated 2007 version. Obviously not viable for op to take a step backwards and purchase 2003, is it !!!!!!?0

The software is still supported by the manufacturer so is not out of date as such and probably still has a very large user base in the corporate world.
BTW you can still 'downgrade' 2007/10 licences to 2003This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Possibly because a lot of large multinationals are still using 2003 due to the upgrade costs not being justifiable.

Your company could save on paying any more upgrade bills to the Great Parasite of Redmond simply by moving to the free OpenOffice suite.0 -
Don't think so somehow since the majority of the solutions they sell as part of multi-million pound/dollar contracts are MS based. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
