Finally exchanged contracts today :j completion date this Friday!
We have had our house on the market since May last year, had about 7 viewings only in that time, one offer that fell through in October.....
initially went on the market at £134950, only reduced it once (by 3k) and sold for £129500.....
lots of people would have told me I'm sure it was overpriced and i should have reduced the price by £10-£15k but i knew it was priced well, there are currently around 6 house in my street and next street all of same design but mine stood head and shoulders above the others and was priced the highest
There are some unrealistic/greedy sellers out there though, one house we looked at has been dropped 30k since we looked at it:rotfl:
and another house (overpriced) who wouldn't accept £160k off us despite needing a fair bit of work is still for sale:rotfl:
we have bought at 165k on a house up for 170k and it's definately a fair price, i didn't insult them by going in at 155 or 160 when i knew it was a bargain really.....
been packing all day
knackered!
to all you others keep the faith

Congratulations

I'm glad you got what you wanted for yours and found what you wanted at the right price. Shows what a slog it can be though - a year! It's horrible to be waiting like that. All forgotten soon though!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Well done you for sticking to your guns and hope the move goes ok.0

Aww congratulations. I bet you are relieved. We have just had a provisional completion date of 27th May after weeks of waiting for some indication of a date but we have not exchanged yet and it is stressing me out. Everything is 'provisionally' organised but I don't feel like I can get excited yet
Hope everything goes OK for you on Friday!0 -

yes, i've been a lot more patient than I thought I would be, to be honest the only stressful moment was waiting for the mortgage offer, apart from that everything has been pretty much ok *touch wood*0 -
