I don't know the full amount I have just saved as QuarkXpress version 5 is no longer on sale. Must be hundreds though, because most graphics software is much the same as the last couple of versions, just a few more bells and whistles. Version 7 is currently selling for £739.08  I paid £3.50 for the free copy on Computer Shopper magazine, thanks to the tip from Adman.
I thought I'd better buy the QuarkXpress 5 guide book - £12.53 with a 34% discount at Amazon, where I got free postage and a recipe book too thanks to
Martin's heads-up about the Hellmans mayonnaise promo in yesterday's email.
So, I have a full version of QuarkXpress 5 software, manual and a recipe book for £16.03, just £2 more than I paid for my work Christmas lunch yesterday.:T
I have tipped off a colleague at my voluntary work placement and she also has a copy of the software (we will share the manual). The next Community
Voluntary Action newsletter will be the best yet and will go on the charity's website. At home, I hope to make more acceptable greetings cards using the
program and my own digital photos (no more Clip Art and Publisher). That alone would save me £££ per year.
Many thanks
