Hi everyone,
I am new to the site and waswondering if anyone can i help, i have elecric heating in a 3 bed old cottage i recieved my bill for the 1st month which was a whopping 300 quid:eek: i then turned my heatinf down to 2 hrs am and 2 hours pm this still came in at 300, in total after 3 month i have been given a total electric bill of 800n quid i cant believe it i lived in rented places for 10 years so i am expereienced in savin money on utilities etc, my boiler is 3 years old so cant see it being that i am a stay at home mum but am out most of the time so the only appliance left on is a fridge freezer.
Can anyone advise me is there something i am doing wrong?

A number of questions:
1) Is the bill based on actual readings or estimated readings?
2) How many day and night units does the bill say you have used?
3) What form on elec heating do you have? Storage heaters?
