Hi I'm new to the forum, so I hope this is the right place to ask about sofas?
I'm looking for a corner sofa...any good places to go for one, and bad places to avoid, and what's a reasonable price for one?
All advice is much appreciated - loving this forum! What an inspired part of the web.

Firstlt welcome newbie
I don't have advice about where to go just this
I don't know how your going tro pay for one
with a re-occuring news stories about this time of year about furniture stores or christmas clubs going up the swany.
save your money up and then purchase one with cash, dont go for store credit as you will end up paying 30-50% more than the ticket price.THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -
I bought mine from DFS, and am very pleased with it. I did take the instore credit, as it was nothing for a year and then interest-free for 3 years (so I'd have been covered if they had gone bust). They wouldn't give any discount for cash, so I couldn't see any point in not taking the credit (I bunged the price into a high-interest account and set up a direct debit to pay so there was no chance of forgetting it and paying interest), but as the previous poster says, if you take it on an interest-paying credit arrangement, you will of course pay a lot more.
It might be worth looking on ebay - sofas seem quite cheap as a general rule, and often quite new.0 -
the next discount shop has loads of sofas in cheap, bear in mind that a new leather 3 seater sofa can be manufactured and shipped over here all taxes paid for around £180 hence the mark up is huge, so haggle like mad.0
