HMV.co.uk service: aaaaagggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Gotta share before I explode!!

Placed three separate orders through HMV.co.uk. After the third, they emailed me saying they'd had a problem with my credit card and I'd need to phone them to give them alternative card details.

Tried to phone them on five or six separate occasions at different times of day and ended up on hold for a total of over TWO HOURS and STILL didn't get through. They continued to bombard me with emails, even though I'd emailed them my phone number and asked them to call me – could have sorted it out in two minutes flat, but no phone call from them.

In the meantime I checked the 'My Account' page and two orders were showing 'completely shipped', over 10 days ago, though I've only received the most recent item I ordered. Am panicking that the first item I ordered may not arrive in time for Christmas, and if I assume they've cancelled the order and order it from somewhere else it's bound to turn up :eek:

Resorted to emailing to find out exactly what's going on. Gave absolute specifics and full order references etc to make it easy for them. Five days later, received a reply about just one item, but giving no details of which item it related to!!

Replied to the customer service rep who'd emailed me 'Dear Brent' and just received a response addressed to Dear Brent!! No!! Brent is YOUR name, not mine!! :rotfl:

Reply STILL doesn't tell me what I need to know: have they really shipped my order (as per 'My Account' page) or have they cancelled it as their emails, sent AFTER they've told me it's been shipped.

Still can't get through on the phones and am giving up on getting a sensible response from them.

Sorry for all the shouty capitals and :mad: typing, just had to share. I really hope I'm the only one being subjected to this non-existant customer service but somehow I doubt it. :rolleyes:

Good old Christmas online shopping... 11% Quidco or no 11% Quidco, I'll be giving HMV a miss in future *that's* for sure.
