I can't believe that nobody has mentioned supermarket "own brands" and some of the "obscure" labels sold be the likes of ALDI and Lidl.
Come on ..... we are supposed to be money savers after all!
Actually - in my experience some of the chocolate sold by ALDI and Lidl in particular are sensationally good .... at amazing prices .... so you can indulge and feel smug at the same time!
Sainsburys and Tesco own brand posh choccolate is also really good.
I'm really surprised how popular Cadbury's Dairy Milk is ..... it's horrible claggy stuff ..... high in cocoa butter and low in cocoa solids. Yuk!

You are not a true chocolate lover if you go for yukky milk chocolate like DM. So I'm with you there Mark!

Aldi do ridiculously cheap dark chocolate varieties with a surprisingly high cocoa solids content. Try Choceur Dark Hazelnut or anything in the Moser Roth range!

It's a shame we've not had a discontinued chocolate survey, Bar Six was always a superior product even to KitKat

Why is Lindt 99% not on there?

The only chocolate bar you can leave out and guarantee it will still be there when you come back

Mmmm Fry's Chocolate Cream, yum. peppermint variety, followed by orange, then the green one, spearmint?

You used to be able to buy a multi couloured / multi flavoured bar, which had a piece of orange, lemon, raspberry or strawberry? lime? maybe blackcurrant? I can't remember exactly. I have'nt seen them around for years. Why have they been discontinued? Production costs? Shame.

Still, you can't beat fry's dark chocolate, but my favourite chocloate of all time is Sterch*' s dark chocolate. Mmmm. I have'nt had any of that for years, either.

Plain chocolate is delicious, good for us too; so why isn't it available on prescription? ;)

2nd choice Toblerone! Can't afford it, but at Christmas it's a treat.
