My cats drool when I stroke them,
This reminded me of one of my past cats, sadly no longer with us. He was a big old tabby and a real softy not only did he dribble when I strocked him but would even drool at the sound of my voice:rotfl: Mrs MATH used to say "Shurrup talking to that daft cat or we will be knee deep in spit":rotfl:

Glad there's a cause - our Bengal just cost us over £200 plus antibiotics (so more like £250 - eek). It wouldn't be so bad if the vets had a clue what was wrong with him, but sadly they seem completely in the dark. Their best guess so far is to change his food from Iams to James Wellbeloved.

He is currently house-bound and very vocal about pointing out the fact that his cat-flap appears to be locked!

That brought tears to my eyey. The most wonderful cat I have ever had (and I've had a fair few) was a big old tabby who could drool for England. He was such a star. I miss him a lot. Cats are SO fantastic aren't they?

If cats ruled the world it would be a much better place! It would stink of fish but it wuld be a nicer place. LOL:rotfl:

  • ha ha my cats think they do rule the world!!

i do wonder sometimes who are the pets and who are the owners in our house!
we get tesco value food and the cats get sheba and tuna!!
  • Was gladd to hear that other cats dribble as my long haired Torti female loves when l get in from work. I don't even get a chance to take me coat off and she's up on me knee wanting brushed and drools all over my knee. My son says she is getting all excited as she is purring at same time, just a spoilt cat now 10yrs old. Have been having a problem lately with her spraying urine out when she is scratching as she looks like she is having a fit, so l got a new Flea spray incase she was bothered with fleas.
  • Has the vet had a good look inside the mouth? It could be a bad tooth or other mouth problem although this does not explain his back being sensitive. He may have had a fight or a fall.

My last cat had a bite to his knee joint which was well hidden - however due to infection bites quickly make themselves known as cats become lethargic and poorly quite quickly and also have raised temperature.
  • It's not unheard of for cats to suffer with a slipped disk, as a child this what happened to my cat. His tail would go stiff too.
